Author Na Sang-cheon Donates 6 Million Won in Royalties from Novel ‘A Wonderful Escape’ and Exports Russian Rights

Novelist and K-pop producer Na Sang-cheon has returned 6 million won in royalty profits earned from his work ‘A Wonderful Escape’ to society. Na Sang-cheon delivered 3 million won each to the Blue Tree Foundation and Kkumnamu Janghakhoe, marking his second donation activity through this book. Previously, he donated 100 copies of the book to the Blue Tree Foundation to help victims of school violence.

Expansion into overseas markets and content diversification are also actively underway. Recently, the sale of the Russian rights for ‘A Wonderful Escape’ was finalized, and a meeting with local readers is expected. Furthermore, he is personally developing the musical ‘Caminante’ based on the original work, taking charge of the playwriting, directing, and composing, and will hold an open rehearsal on September 19 at Baekam Art Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

This novel, which captures the transformation of four characters set against the backdrop of the Camino de Santiago in Spain, reached its 5th printing just one month after publication, setting a record by surpassing 10,000 copies sold in print and 20,000 copies sold as e-books.
