Singer Baek Ji-young explained on her YouTube channel on the 31st why she stayed with husband Jung Suk-won, who was sentenced to 10 months in prison with a two-year stay of execution following a 2018 arrest for using philopon.

Singer Baek Ji-young revealed the reasons why she has continued her marriage despite her husband Jung Suk-won's past mistakes in a video released on her YouTube channel on the 31st. The video featured Jung Suk-won and actress Sunwoo Yong-nyeo.

“If he had originally been that kind of person, I might have turned my back,” Baek Ji-young said, explaining, “Because I know what kind of person he usually is, when he makes a mistake, I think, 'This is a time when I should embrace him.'” Jung Suk-won expressed his gratitude to his wife, stating, "I caused trouble in the early stages of our marriage. Having gone through all those (troubles) in advance, I am very happy now."

Last April, Baek Ji-young previously mentioned on the SBS Plus show 'Because I Am Single,' "I have never thought about divorce. But you shouldn't be too certain about that." Jung Suk-won was arrested in 2018 on charges of using philopon and was sentenced to 10 months in prison with a two-year stay of execution; he returned to the stage play scene in 2024. The couple married in 2013 and has one daughter.
