The Community Chest of Korea and the Korea Lottery Commission will host the "It's Okay to Fall" talk concert on October 24 to discuss healthy child-rearing cultures. Ajou University Professor Kim Kyung-il will lecture on building resilience through failure, following lottery fund welfare projects that support low-income children and those with borderline intelligence.

The Community Chest of Korea, together with the Korea Lottery Commission, will hold the lottery fund talk concert "It's Okay to Fall" at 2:00 PM on October 24. The event is organized to promote the role of lottery funds in the healthy growth of children and adolescents and to discuss desirable child-rearing cultures.

Kim Kyung-il, a professor in the Department of Psychology at Ajou University, will give lectures on the topics "Why is appropriate frustration necessary?" and "How is our child's resilience created?" The lectures will cover the process by which children build inner strength through experiencing failure and difficulties, followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

The theme of the event focuses on viewing the process of experiencing frustration and recovering as a part of growth, rather than unconditionally protecting children from difficulties. A Q&A session is arranged after the lecture to allow caregivers to share concerns related to the theme.

Lee Jung-yoon, head of the Community Chest of Korea's Sharing Business Division, said, "We hope this talk concert serves as a place for caregivers to discover their children's potential and growth possibilities, and to contemplate ways to help children grow by overcoming difficulties themselves." The Community Chest of Korea is promoting welfare projects using lottery funds, such as nighttime protection for low-income children and adolescents and support to improve the social adaptation of children with borderline intelligence.
