IVE returns to number one on Hanteo Trend Chart in October
IVE rose to first place on the Hanteo Trend Chart for the fifth week of October, driven by a significant rebound in album consumption.
IVE reclaimed the top spot on the Hanteo Trend Chart for the fifth week of October after climbing three places to earn 79.61 points. The group's ascent follows a rebound in album consumption, with first-week sales reaching 714,887 copies.
IVE ranked first on the Hanteo Trend Chart for the fifth week of October, covering the period from October 26 to November 1, 2026. Climbing three spots from fourth place the previous week, the group earned a trend index of 79.61, reclaiming the throne from PLAVE (76.51 points), which had held the top position for two consecutive weeks.
According to the Hanteo Chart Big Data Lab, the key factor behind IVE's first-place ranking is a "dramatic rebound in album consumption power." The first-week sales of their new album reached 714,887 copies, representing approximately 7% growth compared to the 667,234 copies of their previous work. This marks the first rebound, stopping a downward trend in first-week sales that had continued since October 2023.
Secondary fandom transactions, such as second-hand trades, also reached 585 cases, which is approximately 2.9 times the 204 cases recorded by ILLIT, who ranked third. In contrast, PLAVE took first place overall in the third week with 2,083 secondary transactions and maintained weekly sales of 7,000 copies even in the third week of their album release.
Rookie group Andouble took first place with weekly album sales of approximately 800,000 copies, surpassing their previous work's first-week sales of 731,673 copies. Other artists, including BOYNEXTDOOR, ALLDAY PROJECT, and BTS, also saw their rankings rise in a highly competitive chart.
A Hanteo Chart official analyzed that "virality creates inflow, but actual rankings are created by consumption." The official added that the point of interest for the following week will be whether IVE and ILLIT can maintain a long-term consumption flow through secondary transactions and digital music, similar to PLAVE.
