Actress Kim Jung-hwa is continuing her steps as an entrepreneur by opening her 13th store, six years after starting her cafe business. In a video released on Kim Jung-hwa's YouTube channel on the 15th, behind-the-scenes stories of the opening day of the Singil branch and a Q&A session regarding operations were included.
In the video, Kim Jung-hwa, traveling with her husband and cafe director Yoo Eun-sung, personally announced the special news of opening the 13th location. Having jumped into the cafe business in 2021, Kim Jung-hwa transformed into a daily barista for this store opening, greeting customers on-site and meticulously taking care of the opening preparation process, such as equipment setting.
Kim Jung-hwa cited coffee beans as the differentiator for the cafes she operates. She expressed pride in the quality, emphasizing that, which is rare in the franchise industry, they use Kenya single-origin beans for all menu items. She also introduced a system that returns a portion of the profits gained through store operations to society.
As each store increases, a system is in place to sponsor one child fighting AIDS in Uganda, Africa, and one vulnerable child within the local area of that store, respectively. Meanwhile, Kim Jung-hwa married CCM singer and evangelist Yoo Eun-sung in 2013 and has two sons.
