According to media reports, director Na Hong-jin has been named to the list of '30 Most Influential Genre Film Directors' selected by the American entertainment specialist magazine The Hollywood Reporter. The outlet evaluated Na as a Korean master who has formed a global fandom by spanning the action and arthouse genres.
Along with this selection, a special interview with Na is also scheduled to be released. The interview will contain the production behind-the-scenes of 'Hope', his fourth directorial work following 'The Chaser', 'The Yellow Sea', and 'The Wailing', as well as his unique cinematic world. 'Hope' deals with strange incidents experienced by branch manager Beom-seok upon hearing news of a tiger's appearance, set against the backdrop of the DMZ Hopo Port, and is scheduled to be released in North America on September 9.
