AI education specialist People Edu has completed AI ethics education for middle and high school students conducted at 15 institutions nationwide in collaboration with the Yeosong Social Welfare Foundation. This project focused on helping youth utilize technology responsibly in a situation where generative AI is rapidly spreading across learning, creation, and communication.

The education was operated for a total of 10 sessions at local children's centers, youth culture houses, comprehensive social welfare centers, and youth after-school academies. Each session was composed of an opening, discussion, AI practice, and wrap-up, covering both theoretical learning and practical application. Key contents included the responsible use of AI, citing sources and protecting real people, fair AI use, prompt logging and creative honesty, and utilizing AI as a tool for good messages.

Participating youth used self-checklists and logs after the practical sessions to review their own learning, and in the final session, they directly produced content for a "10 Commandments of Youth AI Use" campaign based on this. Beyond simple lecture-style education, the project confirmed its field applicability in that it produced tangible results. However, as the use of AI becomes a daily occurrence, it appears that repetitive learning and practice checks must follow to ensure that ethics education does not end as a one-time program.

Kim Beom-jun, CEO of People Edu, stated, “Now that AI technology has deeply entered the daily lives of youth, it is important to learn not only what can be done but also how it should be used. In cooperation with the Yeosong Social Welfare Foundation, we will continue to provide opportunities for youth across the country to grow into responsible AI users.”
