Seogu Youth After-school Academy Conducts Traditional Culture Experience Activities in Jeonju

On August 29, the Seogu Youth After-school Academy, in cooperation with the Korea Tourism Organization, conducted the ‘2026 Youth Culture and Tourism Experience Travel’ program. This event was organized to provide youth with opportunities to directly experience and understand local culture.

Participating youth visited the Jeonju area and experienced various traditional cultures. In particular, they had time to personally learn and demonstrate Hakchum (Crane Dance) on-site, acquiring our traditional arts firsthand. This experience is evaluated to have contributed to enhancing the cultural sensitivity of the youth through field learning outside the classroom.

Yoo Hye-min, an official from the Seogu Youth After-school Academy, stated, “We hope this trip serves as an opportunity for the youth to newly discover the value of our culture.”
