In the sixth episode of 'Oh! My Guard', which airs at 10:50 PM on Lifetime on the 8th, the subtle relationship between three people unfolds as secret bodyguard Oh Hae-ra (Hong Seung-hee) appears at the date of Eom Tae-bong (Jung Yong-hwa) and Song Na-ri (Park Yoo-na). Eom Tae-bong and Song Na-ri are business lovers who intentionally leaked dating rumors to cover up a fatal secret; in released stills, Song Na-ri is seen pressing close to Eom Tae-bong to take a couple's selfie.
Oh Hae-ra sits alone at a nearby table inside the restaurant, hiding behind a menu to watch the two. This moment raises questions as to whether it is a security mission or jealousy, as Oh Hae-ra has recently begun to feel an unknown heartbeat for Eom Tae-bong, and Eom Tae-bong's emotions are shaken as he tries to protect the world she believes in.
In the previous fifth episode, Eom Tae-bong struggled by even leaving the filming set to prevent Oh Hae-ra from realizing the truth of the fake world. At the end of that episode, he embraced Oh Hae-ra to block her view so she would not encounter news regarding the dementia of the actor Choi Gu (Ahn Suk-hwan), whom she believes to be her father, a scene that signaled the start of romance between the two.
Directed by Yoon Jong-ho and Lee Seung-hoon and written by Byeon Sang-sun, the drama is invested in and distributed by A+E Global Media, and produced by SYN&studio and People Story Company. Episode 6 can also be viewed on TVING, LG Channels, Viu, and Lemino in Japan.
Covers K-pop for KSW Journal, and also writes about Culture and K-Variety.
