The Seongdong District Volunteer Center operated a program to support cultural life and alleviate the social isolation of elderly individuals living in single-person households. The center announced that it held 'Warmth Cinema' over two days, on October 19 and 20, at CGV Wangsimni.

This event was organized as a follow-up program to 'Warmth, Walking Together in Seongdong,' which involves elderly individuals living alone and volunteers. Approximately 500 people, including elderly residents from 17 neighborhoods in Seongdong-gu and volunteers, participated in the movie screening.

Participants shared leisure time in their daily lives by watching the film 'Family Trip,' while volunteers assisted them with everything from movement to viewing. The significance of the event was highlighted by one elderly participant who remarked, "I came to a movie theater for the first time in 40 years." As local care expands beyond simple support toward creating shared daily experiences, the role of such programs is expected to grow in the future.

Chairman Bae Mun-chan stated, "I hope 'Warmth Cinema' served as an opportunity to provide joy in daily life and new memories for the elderly. We will continue to operate various volunteer activities to spread the culture of care and sharing within the local community."
