Kim Tae-ung (Park Jin-young), who was tasked with interpreting the toast under the Governor-General's instructions, ended up standing closest to the cake containing the bomb.
Lee Ga-gyeong prepared for her departure by leaving a pawn ticket in Kim Tae-ung's desk drawer. When Kim Tae-ung discovered it and asked about her true intentions, Lee Ga-gyeong replied, "I liked you. I liked the person named Kim Tae-ung," to which Kim Tae-ung drew a line, stating, "My name is Sato Hideo."
