Despite experiencing blurred vision and paralysis in his left arm, he attempted to restore sensation by stabbing the back of his hand with culinary tweezers. As the announcement of the winning team was delayed due to a three-way tie, Kang Han resisted, stating, "Not yet, it's not time yet," but eventually lost consciousness and collapsed in the lobby where Moon Hae-seon (Jang Young-nam) was located.

For this mission, Kang Han presented a dish featuring Ulleungdo beef aged with nuruk and cooked in a natural oven made from traditional earthenware jars, served as a South American-style asado with Korean-style chimichurri sauce.

Within the drama, it was revealed through Baek Hyeon-ju (Cha Ji-yeon) that Kang Han's father is Kang San (Ji Seung-hyun), the husband of Moon Hae-seon. When Cha Woo-jin questioned his relationship with Kim Tae-seop, who died in Paris eight years ago, Kang Han countered, "I'm sure that's not the only thing you're curious about."
