The folk legend 'Siingwa Chonjang' appeared on EBS ‘Space Gonggam’ to deliver heavy consolation.

The EBS ‘Space Gonggam’ broadcast on the 16th (Wed) was organized as a meaningful occasion where Ha Deok-gyu and Ham Choon-Ho, who had walked their own paths since 1987, reunited after 39 years. Opening with the masterpiece ‘Blue Sail’, they immediately immersed viewers by showing a level of synchronization that defied the passage of time.

The sincere behind-the-scenes stories related to the masterpieces of ‘Siingwa Chonjang’, which are like pieces of poetry, also drew attention. Ha Deok-gyu added depth to the songs by sharing the background of the birth of ‘Thorn Tree’, which he wrote while looking at a desolate forest on a hill on a depressed day, saying, “Songs exist within daily life.” Ham Choon-Ho also proved the perfect musical synergy between the two by embracing Ha Deok-gyu's voice with delicate playing throughout the stage.

As lyrical stages such as ‘A Good Country’, which highlighted Ham Choon-Ho's heavy electric guitar playing, unfolded, some audience members were moved to tears by seeing the two together after such a long time. Seeing this, Ha Deok-gyu expressed sincere gratitude, saying, "If our songs become consolation and joy in your lives, that is the greatest prize and reward."

The steadfast friendship between the two also stood out. When Ham Choon-Ho said, “The name I am most proud of is ‘Siingwa Chonjang’,” Ha Deok-gyu responded, “Ham Choon-Ho is a friend who embraces my gaunt melodies.”

Amidst the pouring applause from the audience, Siingwa Chonjang concluded the stage, leaving a deep lingering impression by singing ‘Time’ and ‘The Whip’ passionately.

Meanwhile, anticipation is building as the appearance of legend diva Sim Soo Bong is teased for next week's broadcast.
